Online Biology Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Online Baccalaureate Adjunct Instructor in Introductory Biology.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement in 5-week undergraduate-level courses in introductory biology and associated labs
• Teach courses asynchronously to an average of 20 students per course
• Meet expectations for timely feedback, engagement in Discussion Board tasks, and responsiveness to students

Required Qualifications

• Terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in Biology or related discipline, or a master's degree with significant professional experience
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college
• Experience teaching adult learners and/or in an online context is preferred
