Optimiza is looking for a dedicated and experienced Disaster Recovery Specialist to enhance our business continuity team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing disaster recovery plans to ensure the resilience and availability of our IT infrastructure and applications. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing downtime and ensuring our operational capabilities during and after disruptive events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and prioritize recovery efforts.
- Coordinate and lead disaster recovery testing and drills to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans.
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure integration of disaster recovery procedures into normal operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation of disaster recovery processes, procedures, and policies.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees regarding disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Monitor and report on the status of disaster recovery plans and invoke procedures as necessary during incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and incident management.
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with business impact analysis and risk assessment techniques.
- Proficiency in developing and executing disaster recovery tests and drills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work across various teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification are highly preferred.
