Patient Care Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Care Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Safely transports patients within the unit and monitors them to prevent falls or pulling lines/tubes
• Completes assignments as directed by RN and documents patient status in the electronic medical record

Required Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
