Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer, Platform Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the main backends, real-time services, and storage systems to support product growth
• Scale and optimize the Python-based runtime and storage platforms while improving performance and reliability
• Refactor and modularize large codebases to enhance developer velocity and maintain a productive environment

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience (10+ for Staff-level)
• Strong experience with large-scale backend systems, ideally in Python
• Deep expertise with storage systems like Postgres, DynamoDB, or Planetscale
• Experience in building or scaling messaging, notification, or caching systems
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments such as AWS or GCP, including Kubernetes and Docker
