A Career in Long/Short Equities at Point72 

Long/Short Equity is Point72’s core investment strategy, and its success depends upon our sector-based investing teams comprised of portfolio managers and research analysts. Our team is seeking interns to support our Long/Short management team on strategic initiatives through in-depth research and data analysis. 

About the 2025 Long/Short Research & Analytics Summer Internship 
If you are eager to pursue a career in research and data analytics within a dynamic asset management environment, the Long/Short Research Internship at Point72 offers a comprehensive experience. During the program, you will gain exposure to: 

• Conducting in-depth research on industry trends and competitive landscapes 

• Analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights for strategic decision-making 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions 

• Preparing and presenting findings to management to support strategic initiatives 

• Documenting research methodologies and outcomes for internal knowledge sharing 

Summer Internship Program at Point72 

In addition to the learning and development you'll receive in your day-to-day role with your team, as a part of our summer internship program you will: 

• Work alongside your fellow interns and be mentored by experienced professionals 

• Meet your peers through designated intern programming, volunteer opportunities, and social events 

• Attend sessions with senior leaders where they discuss their expertise and career paths 

• Get hands-on access to the wealth of tools and resources that Point72 employees use every day 

• Gain exposure to groups and functions with unique responsibilities and perspectives on our industry 

• Develop technical, writing, and presentation skills

What's Required 

• Expected bachelor's or master’s degree in Spring 2026 or later 

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong attention to detail 

• Passion for data analytics and research with related coursework a plus 

• Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills 

• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the team 

• Ability and willingness to conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity at all times 

• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary is $75,000 (USD) which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
