Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to build the next generation data analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand data needs and create innovative solutions
• Optimize BI dashboard quality and establish best practices
• Design a semantic data layer for analytics and automate data analysis and visualization

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 5+ years of experience with Tableau, SQL, and Python
• Strong experience in building semantic layers using tools like AtScale and dbt
• Experience with big data technologies such as Delta Lake and Apache Spark
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is highly preferable
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow is a plus
