Principal Research Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Research Scientist to lead research and development in information retrieval and applied machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute research projects in information retrieval, search systems, and natural language processing
• Architect and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using distributed computing frameworks
• Mentor junior researchers and engineers, and represent the organization at conferences

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in search indexing, information retrieval, or large-scale data systems
• Strong programming skills in Rust/C++ and Python
• Strong publication record in premier conferences and journals
• Practical experience equivalent to a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, or a related field
