Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Lines Renewal Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes underwriting training and shadows experienced underwriters to learn risk appetite and develop agency relationships
• Evaluates basic accounts for risk selection and pricing under close supervision, analyzing relevant data to underwrite policies
• Communicates with agents and provides updates on accounts while maintaining proper file documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
• Insurance designations, such as CPCU, preferred
• Basic knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
