Assembler Programmer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assembler Programmer to contribute to the modernization of legacy Assembler systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing ALC software and produce technical documentation for Java code development
• Collaborate with Java developers to support code migration from Assembler to Java
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software while assisting in defect resolution

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Assembler Language Coding (ALC)
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems, including JCL and TSO
• Experience with Linux, z/OS, and bash shell scripting is highly desired
• A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Ability to obtain a Department of Treasury Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required
