Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Amazon Analytics role will work closely with the analytics and business functional teams to support new product launch, product feature design and optimization, digital journey, and customer engagement and growth. The role drive new product engagement, accounts growth, and profitability as well as help drive better customer experience and ratings for the Amazon products (PLCC, Pay Later, and Secured Cards).
They will also work closely with the client team and product managers to promote sustainable growth of the portfolio. The individual will work on the decision management framework for new products, feature testing, customer experiences, and portfolio management. This is role requires hands-on use of analytical and data-mining tools, and effective presentation skills to influence the client and internal decision makers.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Identify actionable opportunities through product and customer level analyses and data driven insights
• Collaborate with cross functional teams in product, marketing, credit, finance, and IT/operations and propose solutions to strengthen the product experience and grow credit penetration for the Amazon portfolio
• Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive user strategy; including recommendations for test designs on AMZN ecommerce, feature optimization, analyze product cost/benefit levers to share with client and AMZN teams
• Act as a strategy and analytic consultant for new initiatives, providing guidance and support for concept, design, analysis, to execution and measurement phases of the project
• Partner with broader marketing organization to assist execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive engagement, rating and financial objectives
• Assist in development of business case presentations and action plans for strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with U.S. based and offshore analysts to ensure high-quality execution and delivery of product analytics and reporting
• Other duties and/or special projects as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree OR in lieu of degree, 7+ years of work experience establishing and managing analytics in the financial services, credit card and/or payments industry.
• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive work experience to include:
• 4+ years of experience within the financial services, credit card payments, retail finance, consulting, or other consumer based industry
• 2+ years of experience using statistical analysis tools and data warehouse tools
• 2+ years of experience providing analytical insights into consumer behavior
• 2+ years of experience leading large-scale analytics projects
• 1+ years of client facing experience
Desired Characteristics
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Database Marketing, Engineering, or Quantitative Analysis preferred
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or MBA with strategic analysis, business intelligence, product management, or marketing specialization strongly preferred
• Experience with credit card products preferred
• Hands-on experience utilizing analytical tools such as SAS, SQL; experience in development of dashboards and data visualization using Tableau
• Strong understanding of targeting and segmentation, retail analytic tools and advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint strongly preferred
• Experience using external data sources to drive growth for clients
• Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
• Experience using external data sources to drive growth for clients
• Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
• Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 – 200,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
• You must be 18 years or older
• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
• You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
• New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
