Bioinformatics Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists to design, implement, and maintain bioinformatics workflows for large datasets
• Automate science processes and transition research software into production environments
• Support the building and maintenance of scalable cloud environments for bioinformatics pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in building bioinformatics pipelines for large datasets
• Proficiency in Python and willingness to learn additional programming languages
• Exposure to cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Nextflow or Snakemake
