Bioinformatics Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer I/II to support internal research initiatives and develop bioinformatics workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-based bioinformatics pipelines for next-generation sequencing (NGS) data
• Collaborate with the R&D team to identify, evaluate, and develop bioinformatics tools and machine learning features
• Document requirements and develop unit tests to ensure reproducible workflows

Required Qualifications

• Experience with developing scientific workflow systems (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake) for bioinformatics analysis
• Proficiency in Unix, SQL, Python, and R
• Experience working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Working knowledge of molecular biology concepts and genomics technology
• Familiarity with containerization technology (e.g., Docker, Singularity)
