Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a crucial part in creating a positive shopping experience, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Responsibilities
– Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries and purchases.
– Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
– Process sales transactions using the POS system, including returns and exchanges.
– Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items to customers.
– Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
– Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
– Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls and addressing their concerns or questions.
– Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
– Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.

Skills
– Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
– Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately.
– Strong understanding of retail math for effective sales analysis and inventory management.
– Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills.
– Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
– Experience with supervising or training team members is a plus.
– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
– A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
