Job Summary
A company is looking for a Catastrophe Analyst to join their Exposure Management Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic catastrophe modeling to analyze an account's catastrophe risk and provide insights to underwriting specialists
- Interpret data, manipulate large datasets, and provide quantitative support to explain variances and trends
- Facilitate communication and provide technical guidance to underwriters for best practice usage of catastrophe models
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or Statistics
- Up to 2 years of related work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of AIR or RMS Cat models, with a preference for AIR Touchstone
- Strong knowledge of property insurance and policy terms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business-related software
