Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Services Coding Specialist III - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9, CPT-4 & HCPC codes from documentation and apply appropriate modifiers
• Problem-solve claim edits and support the denial process as needed
• Maintain coding quality accuracy rate of 95.5% and mentor new employees

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associates Degree or vocational/technical education beyond high school
• Minimum of 5 years coding experience
• Demonstrated experience in at least 2 specialties, 3 preferred
• AHIMA credentials or AAPC certification required; AAPC specialty certifications preferred
• Knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations and billing practices
