A company is looking for a Certified Oncology Data Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts medical record reviews to assess diagnosis, treatment, and disease status for cancer patients
• Performs case abstraction, follow-up maintenance, and research of all reported cancer cases
• Prepares statistical reports and responds to inquiries related to patients' cancer treatment

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Anatomy and Physiology; completion of a Medical Terminology course
• 2 years of experience in a hospital-based tumor registry
• Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist from the National Cancer Registrars Association upon hire
• Knowledge of cancer treatment options and tumor registry operations
• Proficiency in medical terminologies and database management software
