Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Professional Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages charge review and coding-related claim edit work queues for accurate charge capture
• Identifies billable services and reviews medical record documentation to assign appropriate codes
• Consults with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and provides education on coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of relevant work experience
• Certification as a Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
