Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) department to ensure compliance and quality documentation
- Evaluate and provide feedback on the quality of concurrent queries and develop educational tools for staff and medical teams
- Prepare status reports and maintain master CDQI report packages for performance improvement analysis
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of senior-level experience in clinical documentation and/or coding
- Relevant certification from AAPC, AHIMA, or ACDIS required
- Minimum three years in a healthcare setting and one year of experience with ICD-10-CM codes
- CRC certification strongly preferred; must obtain within one year
