Commercial Underwriter I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I (Remote - Central Time Zone).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk reviews and determine risk acceptability for new business, renewals, endorsements, and reinstatements
• Make decisions on risk acceptability and serve as a point of contact for Customer Service and Backoffice teams
• Analyze internal and external data to direct pricing, underwriting, and sales decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
• 1 year of commercial underwriting experience
• Ability to establish and maintain agency relationships and identify profitable opportunities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to learn and effectively use computer-based underwriting systems
