Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join their Healthcare Compliance and Credentialing Practice Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications for providers with third-party payers and governmental programs
• Perform Primary Source Verification (PSV) services and maintain a Credentialing database in accordance with company policies
• Communicate with providers and client liaisons to facilitate timely completion of required documents and update on application statuses

Required Qualifications

• High school education required; bachelor's degree preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant healthcare experience, including skills in Credentialing and/or Medical Billing
• Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional in Medical Staff Service Management (CPMSM) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe; Excel preferred
