Desktop Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Desktop Systems Engineer 2 responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining corporate desktops and small systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage configuration, performance, and operation of small systems, including hardware and software maintenance and upgrades
• Participate in evaluating, testing, and introducing new technologies and approaches, while collaborating with system managers and government staff
• Review and enforce approved procedures and quality standards for desktop management and software deployment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in Microsoft and Apple environments, including installation and configuration of desktop and network software
• A+ certification, MCSA, and MCP/MTA required; MCSE acceptable in lieu of MCSA
• Experience with desktop standards, management, and data integrity
• Ability to work collaboratively with users and technical staff at all levels
