Genetic Counselor Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Genetic Counselor Assistant I.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with test utilization management efforts, including review of test orders and resolution of client order issues
• Facilitate test set-up by linking samples, adding gene lists, and performing related tasks
• Provide basic client services regarding turnaround times, specimen requirements, and test status

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Medical Technology, chemistry, biology, or related physical sciences
• Experience with systems involved in test ordering and setup
• Ability to identify complex cases for escalation to supervisors or genetic counselors
• Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned
