Job Summary

A company is looking for a Geospatial Data Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

• Build applied scientific tools for federal agencies, managing the full project lifecycle
• Work on multiple projects involving optical and microwave remote sensing of snow and ice
• Deliver quality-controlled finished software based on customer feedback and revisions

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a technical field related to Earth observations or MSc. with 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of satellite-based or airborne remote sensing instruments and methods
• Proficiency in machine and deep learning techniques and Python libraries
• Experience with geospatial and GIS tools and processing large geospatial datasets
• Established record of technical writing of proposals, reports, and user manuals
