A company is looking for a Health Information Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process requests for patient health information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
- Manage patient health records, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and prepare new patient charts
- Respond to requests for patient records and assist with administrative duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to use general office equipment
- Ability to commute between locations and work overtime during peak seasons
- Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision and manage multiple tasks
