Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe zOS DB2 Systems Programmer.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize DB2 system performance, including storage, memory, I/O, and CPU
• Install, upgrade, and maintain DB2 and third-party tools using SMP/E
• Troubleshoot and resolve DB2-related issues, collaborating with IBM/ISV support as necessary

Required Qualifications

• Experience with DB2 installations and upgrades
• Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting DB2 systems
• Familiarity with REXX for task automation
• Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support as required
