Movement Communications Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Movement Communications Specialist to enhance connections within online communities and support communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor community channels for news and discussions, mapping editor communities and their needs
• Support celebration initiatives by spotlighting volunteer contributions and creating impactful stories
• Assist in documentation, planning, and organizing meetings for the Movement Communications team

Required Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Wikimedia communities' dynamics and policies
• Experience in a multilingual and multicultural environment
• Wiki editing experience, including knowledge of wikitext and related tools
• Ability to engage with volunteers through various formats, including virtual and in-person events
• Located in the European region and fluent in English and at least one other European language (German or Russian)
