New Jersey Licensed Peer Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Peer Support Specialist III.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and strengthen consumers' capacity for personal recovery through peer support
• Engage participants in collaborative relationships and provide appropriate referrals to community resources
• Maintain knowledge of available resources and demonstrate commitment to the unit's mission and goals

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of experience in social or healthcare fields, preferably with substance abuse or mental health
• Two years of experience in guiding principles of recovery and lived experience with the target population
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Associate's Degree preferred; bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are also preferred
