Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and resolve uncollected account balances by contacting payors and patients
• Document account activities and maintain productivity and quality standards
• Assist with special projects and escalate payment delays to management as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn hospital systems quickly
• Minimum typing requirement of 45 wpm
• Understanding of the revenue cycle process and familiarity with insurance terms and billing forms
