Payment Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payment Recovery Specialist, Out of State Billing, Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve billed claims and referred denials while managing assigned work queues
• Document claim status activity and communicate payer trends to the Team Leader
• Follow up on accounts in a timely manner and work collaboratively within assigned groups

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years of collection or follow-up experience is strongly recommended
• Knowledge of and experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and Remittance Advise (RA)
• Strong knowledge of insurance types and payer portal navigation
• Some knowledge of hospital patient billing systems and claims processing procedures
