A company is looking for a Pre-authorization Representative in Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage authorizations and notifications for service requests via calls, faxes, and portals
- Provide excellent customer service and handle escalated calls effectively
- Coordinate with Medical Directors and clinical staff for authorization cases and maintain production standards
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare, call center, or customer service settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10, and CPT codes
- Must have a HIPAA-compliant dedicated work area and secure handling of sensitive documents
