Principal Engineer - Power Systems

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer - Power System Planning (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for generation interconnection processes and operational requirements
• Perform and review power system analyses for renewable facilities, including steady state and dynamic modeling
• Develop software tools to enhance system reliability and organizational efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of interconnection procedures defined by ISOs/Utilities/TOs across the U.S
• Experience with power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, TSAT, and GE PSLF software
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as power flow, stability, and voltage regulation
