Principal Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Platform Engineer to build an Azure cloud platform for space-defense missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement an Azure-native foundation using Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps workflows
• Design and deploy Microsoft Azure Landing Zone and Mission Landing Zone reference architectures for a secure cloud environment
• Engineer and operate AKS clusters with integrated service mesh and automated scaling

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Minimum 9 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and Kubernetes, with at least 4 years in architecture-level responsibilities
• At least one relevant certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and proven experience with AKS and Azure networking
