Principal Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer - Mainframe (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system software upgrades and manage CICS Transaction Server and related products
• Serve as Engineer for additional system software products and collaborate with security engineers
• Assist with system performance monitoring, tuning, and problem resolution for application teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience as a Mainframe Systems Engineer
• Ability to perform IBM ServerPac or z/OSMF upgrades in a z/OS environment
• 6+ years of experience using IBM SMP/E for product installation and upgrades in a z/OS environment
• Expert level knowledge of CICS Transaction Server and IBM z/OS, JCL, and Utilities
