Remote Coding Resident

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Coder Resident.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training and feedback on assigning codes to patient accounts
• Assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes using appropriate classification systems
• Verify charge entries and resolve billing edits at the time of coding

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Zero to one year of ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 hospital coding experience or other healthcare experience
• Proficiency of 85% or greater on coding audit reviews
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to work independently as a remote employee
