Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing data team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable batch and real-time data pipelines
• Develop production quality services in Python or Go, ensuring comprehensive tests and observability
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define data contracts and drive infrastructure as code for the data platform

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of combined software engineering and data engineering experience, with 3+ years in production services using Go, Python, Java, or Scala
• Proven ability to write performant, maintainable code in large codebases beyond SQL and low code ETL tools
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and distributed systems concepts
• Expertise with distributed data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Redis
• Hands-on experience in monitoring and troubleshooting services in AWS or GCP
