Senior Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer II - DBRE.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, and tune performance of Vitess-managed MySQL datastores
• Architect new Vitess-based MySQL database infrastructure on bare metal
• Deliver managed data platform solutions and drive adoption of services across the company

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting MySQL in a production environment, with knowledge of backups, high availability, and performance tuning
• Track record of developing and automating platform solutions for engineering teams
• Experience with data technologies such as Kafka and Redis
• Fluency in SQL, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef & Ansible
