Senior Interconnection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Interconnection Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of plant-specific power flow models to guide projects through the interconnection process
• Ensure compliance for reactive power requirements and develop supporting power flow models
• Participate in technical discussions with utilities/ISOs for interconnection studies and maintain knowledge of relevant regulations and standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 5 or more years of experience in a similar role
• Technical background in transmission systems planning or generator interconnection processes
• Knowledge of transmission systems and long-term transmission plans in the US
• Proficiency in power flow software
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
