Senior Mainframe Performance Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mainframe Performance Engineer (z/OS).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, monitor, and optimize mainframe system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements
• Develop and implement strategies for system performance enhancement, including tuning and configuration adjustments
• Collaborate with IT staff to troubleshoot performance issues and maintain documentation of performance metrics and solutions

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with mainframe systems
• 6+ years of experience in mainframe performance analysis and optimization
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in performance monitoring tools (e.g., RMF, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MAINVIEW)
• Strong analytical skills and experience with mainframe architecture and operating systems (e.g., IBM z/OS)
