Senior Nuclear Advisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Advisor to support Phase 2 decision-making and evaluate groundwater data across the West Valley Demonstration Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of Phase 2 Alternatives for the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement
• Assist with analyzing recent groundwater sampling and trends across the WVDP
• Lead uncertainty analysis and model verification efforts within the WVSMP in support of Phase 2 decisions

Required Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience working with and developing models in GoldSim
• 10+ years of experience as a regulator on nuclear matters
• Deep understanding of NRC regulations and guidance documents, specifically NUREG-1757
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. NRC regulations related to nuclear decommissioning
• Ability to formulate technically robust policy solutions for technical challenges
