Senior Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to lead pricing, risk evaluation, and underwriting strategy for health insurance offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite complex and high-value cases, including large groups and strategic partnerships
• Mentor and train junior underwriters while reviewing their work and providing feedback
• Develop and refine underwriting policies, pricing models, and workflow processes to support strategic growth initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience in group health insurance, with expertise in level-funded/self-funded products
• Experience with complex, large group cases and/or stop-loss arrangements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Insurance, or related fields
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
