Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable distributed applications and Big Data pipelines for business-critical use cases
• Collaborate with various teams to adopt best practices in data gathering and transforming big data
• Interface with Business Stakeholders to gather requirements and own automated end-to-end data engineering solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of related experience
• Experience with big data technologies including PySpark, Hadoop, S3, Hive, Python, Kafka, and Airflow
• Experience in designing business analytics solutions using tools such as LucidChart, Tableau, and Smartsheet
• Experience with data lifecycle management using Spark, Scala, Big Data, Teradata, and MySQL
• Experience mentoring and leading efforts for effective standards and best practices on ETL implementation and data governance
