Job Summary
A company is looking for a Specialty Authorization Coordinator - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all drug and procedural benefits are obtained prior to patient treatment
- Assess and review patient treatment plans to obtain pre-certification and location approval
- Maintain positive relationships with clinical departments and assist with drug dose calculations
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school or college graduate in healthcare or CHAA certification required within 12 months of hire
- Two years of healthcare experience required
- Two years of health insurance authorizations, verification, or registration/billing experience required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 required
