Job Summary
A company is looking for a Staff Accountant (Financial Compliance).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and perform account management duties for the Department of Housing and Urban Development
- Prepare financial reports for federal and state authorities, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
- Assist with financial statement audits, treasury duties, and weekly cash uploads to the general ledger
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- Previous experience in an Accounting department required
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required; high proficiency in Excel is a must
- A minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to consistently meet hard deadlines
