Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant (Financial Compliance).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and perform account management duties for the Department of Housing and Urban Development
• Prepare financial reports for federal and state authorities, including Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
• Assist with financial statement audits, treasury duties, and weekly cash uploads to the general ledger

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• Previous experience in an Accounting department required
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required; high proficiency in Excel is a must
• A minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills and ability to consistently meet hard deadlines
