Staff Android Engineer, Accessibility

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Android Engineer, Accessibility & UI Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build core UI frameworks and design tooling for deploying, maintaining, and testing the design system at scale, focusing on accessibility
• Collaborate with designers to develop a scalable and accessible design system for mobile applications
• Work with engineers across platforms to ensure consistency in APIs and support product teams in adopting the design system

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Android's accessibility technologies and knowledge of mobile accessibility standards (WCAG)
• 12+ years of Android development experience
• Experience with Jetpack Compose
• Experience building design systems or UI frameworks at medium to large scale
• Experience leading through influence and building relationships across design and engineering teams
