Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new forecasting models and workflows for renewables/weather-focused solutions
• Lead research efforts into potential new projects in data science and document findings
• Serve as a technical expert for the Data Science team and participate in client-facing conversations

Required Qualifications

• 4 - 6 years of relevant work or research experience
• Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Atmospheric Science, or Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience with modern application/data development tools
• Strong skills in developing and deploying data products using Python and machine learning libraries
• Advanced understanding of data structures, algorithms, and atmospheric/weather model data
