Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer - Hive.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive innovation in Hive and build additional components to enhance the Hive ecosystem
• Design and develop features for parallel and distributed query engines focused on optimization and scalability
• Write design documentation and improve code quality through tests, automation, and reviews

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience
• Strong programming skills with a focus on data structures and algorithms; Java experience preferred
• Good understanding of database internals, query processing, and SQL query optimization
• Experience with large-scale, distributed systems
• Experience with contributing to open-source projects is a plus
