Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I to analyze and translate medical diagnoses and procedures into numerical codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews patient information and assigns CPT/ICD-10-CM codes for coding purposes
• Discusses documentation inconsistencies with providers and ensures accurate information in medical records
• May research denied claims and assist with patient accounts as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No prior work experience required
• Knowledge of medical and clinical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10-CM and Modifiers
• Proficient in computer programs
