Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter in Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
• Process various loan types including Conventional, Bond, and USDA, while maintaining a high volume of initial underwrites
• Communicate with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and assist in training other mortgage positions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Active government designations (DE/LAPP/SAR) for FHA and VA loans
• Experience with Texas loans and recent FHA/VA underwriting
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong leadership skills
