Job Summary
A company is looking for an Animal Surgical Training Specialist in the Animal Resource Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and evaluate research and ARC staff on laboratory animal survival surgery techniques
- Develop and design training materials and curriculum, including hands-on instruction and assessments
- Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines related to laboratory animal care and training
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in science, education, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in training methods and techniques
- 5 years of experience with rodent procedures, including 2 years in aseptic survival surgery
- Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) or veterinary technician license required upon hire
- Certification by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) is preferred
