Vocabulary Specialist Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vocabulary Specialist/Functional Analyst to support the Public Health Information Network Vocabulary Access and Distribution System project.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain standardized medical vocabulary and terminology options for data elements in PHIN VADS
• Create and update Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures for vocabulary work within PHIN VADS
• Manage internal and external customer requests and coordinate with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements

Required Qualifications

• Technical Training, Certification(s), or Degree
• Minimum of one year of related experience
• Minimum of one year of clinical/medical work experience
• Experience with clinical reference terminologies and coding schemes (e.g., SNOMED, RxNorm, LOINC, ICD9, ICD10, CPT)
• Ability to obtain a CDC Public Trust security clearance
